This is a question we like to ask our clients, you wouldn't believe some of their responses.

But why should you hire any paint contractor? There are lots of reasons. A lot of people think that painting is something that they can do themselves. A lot of people say “Oh, I love to paint!” and that’s fantastic.  But if you’re short on time, if you’re not necessarily a handy person or good at doing straight lines, then I would highly suggest hiring a paint contractor. A contractor is going to do it way faster than you would most likely be able to do it. A large home for us, let’s say a 2500 square foot house, we can typically do that size of a house, depending on what we’re actually painting, but let’s say we’re just doing walls, we can usually do that in about a week. Most homeowners, if they’re doing it on evenings and weekends, that’s going to take them two to three months to actually paint out their whole entire house. I don’t know about you, but I love doing fun things on the weekends and in the evenings and I work hard all week long. For those reasons, I would highly suggest hiring a contractor. Also, it most likely will turn out a lot better than if you did it yourself.

I’ve seen a lot of homeowner jobs. Paint is up on the ceiling. It just looks messy. A lot of times homeowners will simply do one coat and they just crap out before they can do a second coat. And so it looks really thin and I can tell that it was just done with one coat. That would be another reason. Safety would be my final thing that I say. I can’t tell you how many homeowners I’ve talked to where the wife is telling me “well my husband’s not painting the house anymore because the last time he did it, he fell off the ladder. He hurt his shoulder or he hurt his back.” All sorts of bad stories because most homeowners don’t have the right equipment to get up an 18-foot high ceiling or something like that. We’re doing it every day. To be honest, I have never once had to have a workman’s complain because one of our guys fell off a ladder doing something high. Knock on wood hopefully it never happens, but it’s because we’ve got the right equipment. We’re used to using it every day and the guys know the proper safety.
